[19/12/2022 08:19]

ADEN - SABA
The National Alliance of the Yemeni Political Parties (NAYPP) has condemned with the most powerful terms the death sentences issued by the Terrorist Houthi militias against 16 of leading politicians and activists from the fellows of Sa'adah governorate.

The NAYPP has confirmed its categorical opposition to these illegal sentences which issued by illegitimate and unauthorized authorities.

In a press release learned by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) the Alliance described these death sentences as nothing but racist and terrorist actions against innocent and unfortunate citizens have been kidnapped, enforced disappeared for years, subjected to different corporal and psychological tortures, a matter considered to be war-crimes must prompt an international reaction to stop these atrocities.

The NAYPP noted that it happened earlier that the militias had committed a massacre killing nine civilians, among them a minor, from Tehama region under illegal sentences. Similar illegal and unfair death rulings were also issued against four kidnapped journalists because they exercised their journalist work and opposing the militias' coup. The poor journalists have continued to be imprisoned, torture, facing impending death penalty in any moment.

The Alliance called on the Presidential Leadership Council and government to immediately move to stop these terrorist practices the terrorist militias have been committing against the Yemeni people.

The NAYPP called the International Security Council, the UN's envoy to Yemen and other envoys to do their job, help to save the lives of the prisoners, press to release them as soon as possible.
