[19/12/2022 04:56]

RIYADH-SABA
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed BinMubarak held discussions today, Monday, here with the Swedish envoy to Yemen Peter Semneby.

The conversations dealt with the situation in Yemen amid Houthi militias blocking the peace efforts and launching economic war on the Yemeni people.

The talks touched upon the Iran-backed Houthi militia's drones attacks on the oil facilities in Yemen and the implications of these hostile actions.

BinMubarak blamed the Iranian regime's spoiler role in the region for prolonging the conflict in Yemen and worsening the Yemeni peoples humanitarian suffering.

He stated that the continuation of the militias' attacks on the oil facilities in Yemen will have dire consequences in all walks of life, particularly the humanitarian situation.

He said " Houthi militia has intentionally been seeking to worsen the already dire humanitarian crisis".

The Foreign Minister called on the international community to take tangible measures against these terrorist actions and the Houthi militia's sabotage role.

He also called for upholding the Yemeni government's measures to enforce the National Defense Council's resolution about designating the Houthi militias a "Terrorist Organization".

The Sweden envoy noted that his country is rejecting the Houthis' escalation. He said that Sweden government will continue to do good offices to make peace in Yemen.
