Deputy Governor of Marib, Dr. Abd-Rabbu Miftah briefed the engineering team of the International Organization for Migration on the results of the first phase of the study of the water situation and water basins in the governorate and the impact of climate changes on groundwater reserves.

During the meeting, Miftah praised the efforts made by the engineering team during the implementation of the first phase, which included data collection, field surveys, installation of water monitoring devices, and preparation of geological plans for the basin layers as part of a comprehensive geophysical study that will be implemented in the second phase, which will start in March of next year 2023, emphasizing on the importance of this study to preserve surface and ground water and to come up with a vision for its optimal use.
