Justice, Rule of Law Conference held in Aden

The Human High Commission for Human Rights' Office in Aden organized Sunday Justice and Rule of Law Conference for enhancing and protecting human rights in coordination with a number of institutions associated with human rights.

In the conference, which will last for three days, Representative of the Presidential Leadership Council Lawyer Ali al-Hazzazi confirmed that the state is committed to all international resolutions regarding putting pressure on Houthi terrorist militia on violations to human rights issues, especially issues associated with forcibly arrested journalists and rightists, in addition to the militia's crimes against citizens; blockade and blocking roads between provinces.

He also confirmed the state's efforts for finding legal and political solutions with international concerned bodies in this domain.

For his part, the Representative of the Judiciary Council Ghaleb bin Ghaleb made it clear that the council has commenced making many solutions to some issues during the past period and currently they are working on the idea of holding a judiciary conference to discuss key issues in Yemen and making solutions to all difficulties facing its work.

Deputy Minister of Human Rights Nabeel Abdulhafeez said the ministry is keen on creating partnership with all international and local bodies working in human rights and the rule of law for deterring terrorist acts carried out by Houthi militia against civilians and working on political and judiciary reforms to enhance justice and development in Yemen.

Meanwhile, Representative of High Commission for Human Rights in Yemen Rinu Dinal made it clear that the commission will resume early 2023 carrying out a report on protecting civilians and losses on 2022, confirming significance of Yemeni Judiciary's role on access to justice by all.
