Riyadh - Saba
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, discussed today with the US Ambassador to Yemen, Steven Fagin, the developments in Yemen and the repercussions of the continued terrorist Houthi militia attacks on ships and economic and oil installations.
The two sides discussed the difficulties that impede the path of peace after the escalation of terrorist militias and their threat to international navigation and international peace and security, and the dangers of the militia's recent adoption of the so-called "functional code of conduct" that aims to brainwash the society and impose a racist identity instead of the national one.
Bin Mubarak indicated that the government is proceeding with the procedures for implementing the decision to designate the militia as a terrorist organization, stressing the importance of the international community's support for those decisions, in a way that contributes to curbing the violence and terrorism approach of the Houthi militia.
For his part, the US ambassador renewed his country's condemnation of the Houthi terrorist attacks on oil facilities, stressing his country's support for the security, stability and unity of Yemen.
