Riyadh – Saba
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, met with the European Union Ambassador to Yemen and reviewed with him the developments of events in the Yemen file and the Houthi militia's obstruction of efforts to bring peace.
The foreign minister explained that the government will take what its duty dictates to defend the interests of Yemen and its people in response to the economic war Houthis are waging against the Yemeni people, pointing out that the militia, by targeting oil facilities, are working to sabotage the entire peace process, not just the efforts to extend and expand the truce.
He stressed that the government will not stand idly by in front of the policy of starvation practiced by the Houthi militia and seek to impose it on the Yemeni people, and will take the necessary measures to confront it.
