The Cabinet has endorsed first package of the urgent governmental practical procedures to carry out the the National Defense Council's decree no (1) of 2022 about designating the Houthi militia as a Terrorist Group".

The Cabinet endorsed these procedural measures in an extraordinary session held today, Monday, here in the temporary capital Aden presided over by the Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik.

The first package of the government's most important practical measures include: updating and expanding blacklists which blacklisting the Terrorist Houthi Militia's political and military leaders, the persons who deal with the militia and those who hold key positions in the institutions and administrations in the militia-controlled regions, the persons who are indicted in verdicts, the persons who involved in war-crimes, violations of human rights and the ones who involved in the attacks against the economic and oil export facilities, threatening the maritime navigation.

The government's practical measures also include establishing blacklists about the entities and companies involved in financing the Terrorist Houthi Militia and supporting its activities, taking legal procedures to trace the businesses networks which deal with the militia abroad.

The Cabinet has directed the Ministries and government's authorities in charge to take urgent measures and devise the necessary alternatives to secure the livelihoods of the citizens in the militia-controlled regions and effectively coordinate with the national private-own corporations and businessmen to mitigate the humanitarian crisis all over the country including the militia-held regions.

The Council of Ministers reiterated the government's keenness to take every necessary precaution and measure to ensure that the decree of designating the Houthi militia a "Terrorist Group" will never have negative impacts upon the commercial activities and the private-owned businesses and smooth flow of the commodities and food stuffs to the militia-controlled regions.
