The Prime Minister, Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik, received today in the temporary capital Aden the new director of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) office in Yemen in the presence of the former director of the office.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed his congratulations to the new director of UNICEF's office in Yemen and wished him success stressing the government's full readiness to cooperate with him and provide everything necessary to facilitate his tasks and work.
He praised the efforts made by the former director to strengthen the bonds of the existing partnership between the government and UNICEF to serve children in Yemen and alleviate the suffering of this segment as a result of the war ignited by the terrorist Houthi militia.
Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik stressed the role of UNICEF in Yemen, as the organization concerned with childhood and the largest implementing international projects and funding, and stressed the need to raise coordination and cooperation with the concerned authorities to achieve the desired goals of aid in an effective and sustainable manner.
