Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Wa'id Badhib said" There are some 60% of the Yemeni peoples are lacking food security due to the ongoing 8-year conflict, natural disasters of tropical hurricanes, draughts, Coronavirus pandemic and international crisis of food chains supplies as a result of the Russian-Ukrainian war".

Speaking today, Wednesday, at the opening session of two week- training course for surveyors to conduct food security and livelihoods survey of 2022 in the temporary capital Aden, he noted that there is really a big food security gap constitutes a significant challenge for the Yemeni government.

The food security and livelihoods survey of 2022 is to be carried out by the World Food Program (WPF) in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Ministry of Planning and Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture and Fishery, Ministry of Public Health and Population and the Central Organization for Statistics.
