Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Wa'id Batheeb discussed Monday with UN Resident Advisor in Aden for Economic and Development Affairs Chris Jonson needs of developmental and livelihood projects by the Humanitarian Response Plan for next year.
The meeting discussed proposals of implementing developmental projects in a number of liberated provinces and the government's plan in implementing economic and developmental sustainable projects during the forthcoming years.
Batheeb confirmed that the government's plan in the forthcoming period focuses on transforming interventions and supplies provided by donors into developmental sustainable projects of long-term and midterm to help in economic revival.
He pointed out that the ministry is working on enhancing cooperation with international organizations and providing all facilities to them to be able to implement their projects that alleviate humanitarian suffering of citizens.
For her part, the UN official pointed out that the international community is working on limiting negative impacts of the war in the framework of the humanitarian response plan.
