The Cabinet approved Thursday a number of measures and executive programs regarding ministries' plans to deal with new changes in the light of the Decision of the National Defense Council designating Houthi militia as terrorist group.
The new measures and programs include regulating ministerial plans to fit needs of the status quo and its political, military, security, economy and humanitarian dues in accordance with recent changes, considering continuation of reforms track and improving services provided to citizens.
The Council of Ministers approved making a strategy includes that commercial trade is not affected by the decision of designating Houthi militia a terrorist group to protect livelihoods of Yemeni citizens in areas under Houthi militia control.
Prime Minister directs imminent commencing of implementing the ministries' plans in accordance with the requirements of the new phase and working hard during these historical conditions and focusing on finalizing efforts of regaining the state and ending Houthi militia's coup in line with normalizing conditions in liberated provinces and improving basic services.
He pointed out to government's position of supporting peace efforts on the bases of the three references for political solutions; the GCC Initiative, the Outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and Security Council Resolution 2216.
Prime Minister showed keenness on renewing the truce and acceptance the UN envoy's proposal, which was rejected by Houthi militia and targeted the ports of Dhabah and Nushaimah in Hadhramout and Shabwa, confirming that these threats by Houthi militia will be dealt seriously to protect capabilities of the Yemeni people.
The council reviewed reports made by ministries on measures taken to protect economic interests of Yemen and plans prepared to deter Houthi militia's threats to economic establishments in the country.
