Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Nizar Basuhaib discussed Wednesday with the Unted Nations Under Secretary General, the Coordinator of Nutrition Movement in Geneva Ghirda Virbourgh and Director of the Movement Office Marci Vigoda doubling international efforts to alleviate humanitarian crisis in Yemen.

The meeting, which included Assistant Deput Minister of Planning for International Cooperation Sector Mansour Zaid, touched upon significance of doubling efforts to alleviate humanitarian suffering through ensuring sustainability of the interventions and enhancing linkage between humanitarian and developmental interventions in Yemen, stressing importance of abiding by principles of the nutrition movement.

The meeting confirmed significant of approving mechanisms of enhancing confidence between all parties working in Yemen and ensuring cooperation and integration between the UN organizations and the government of Yemen through realizing the sustainability and doubling efforts to support Yemen in mobilizing resources to carry out plan of promoting nutrition level, children weakness plan and outcomes of national dialogues of food systems.

For her part, the UN official confirmed her full support to Yemen and mobilizing more supplies to Yemen despite increasing crises in the world.
