The Council of Ministers, in its meeting today in the interim capital, Aden, headed by Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdul-Malik, examined the government’s trends to deal with the nature of the stage and its political, military, security, economic and humanitarian entitlements, in light of the National Defense Council’s decision to classify the Houthi coup militias as a terrorist organization.
The Council discussed the executive procedures and programs to ensure the rebuilding of ministerial plans to effectively deal with the current situation and to meet the needs of the stage in accordance with the decisions of the Presidential Leadership Council and the National Defense Council.. In this regard, it directed ministries and government agencies to prepare their programs and procedures according to recent developments and submit them to the Council for discussion and approval.
The Cabinet heard reports from the relevant ministries about the repercussions of the Houthi terrorist attack on the Dabba oil ports in Hadramout and the Radhum oil port in Shabwa, and the continued threats of the terrorist Houthi militia, and options for dealing with them to protect the interests of the Yemeni people, global energy supplies, and international navigation.
