BinMubarak, American envoy explore prospects to renew humanitarian truce

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expartiates Dr. Ahmed BinMubarak and the United States' envoy to Yemen Timothy Lenderking conferred today, Thursday, over developments in Yemen.

The discussions aimed to explore chances to renew the UN-brokered truce to achieve the Yemeni peoples' interests.

BinMubarak cited the concessions offered by the government to help extending the UN-sponsored truce.

He stated that the Presidential Leadership Council is very keen to contribute toward realizing peace, reiterating the Presidential Council's and government's keenness on doing utmost efforts to allay the Yemeni peoples' suffering all over the country.

The Foreign Minister called for mounting pressures upon Houthi militias to stop escalation and come to agreement about the provisions to renew the truce.

The American envoy explained the efforts have been made by his administration to support the good offices aiming to renew the truce.

Lendgerking stressed the importance of renewing the truce as this in the interest of the Yemeni peoples. He also reiterated his country's support for the Presidential Leadership Council, Yemen's unity, security and stability.
