Minister of Interior, Major General Ibrahim Haidan, discussed today in Riyadh with the security attache of the US Embassy in Yemen joint cooperation in the field of combating terrorism, organized crime and arms smuggling through regional waters, and the possibility of coordination for training and qualifying the employees of the Ministry of Interior and a number of files of common interest.

The Minister reviewed the security situation in the liberated governorates and the violations and crimes committed by the Houthi coup militia.

For his part, the US embassy's security attache praised the Ministry of Interior's cooperation and efforts in releasing the two American girls who were kidnapped in Yemen, expressing his aspiration for more cooperation during the next stage.

The meeting was attended by the Inspector General, the Undersecretary for the Financial and Human Resources Sector, the Director General of Combating Terrorism and Organized Crime, the Director General of Training and Rehabilitation, the US Army Attaché at the Embassy, the Training and Rehabilitation Officer at the Military Cooperation Office, the Director of the Military Cooperation Office and the Assistant Legal Attaché.
