The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan expressed its regret for not extending the truce in Yemen, which expired on the second of October.
The official spokesman for the Jordanian Foreign Ministry Ambassador Haitham Abu Al-Ful, said that the truce, which entered into force for the first time on April 2, 2022 and was extended twice, helped alleviate the suffering of the brotherly Yemeni people, and contributed to securing the necessary humanitarian aid for the brothers in Yemen.
He stressed his country's support for efforts to end the Yemeni crisis through a political solution based on the approved references represented by the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism, the outcomes of the comprehensive Yemeni national dialogue, and Security Council Resolution No. (2216), which leads to ending the crisis in Yemen, and guarantees Yemen's unity, stability and territorial integrity.
