Minister of Legal Affairs and Human Rights Ahmad Arman discussed Wednesday with President of the International Committee of the Red Cross Mirjana Spoljaric Egger cooperation and coordination between the committee and the government under the humanitarian crisis faced by Yemeni people over Houthi militia's triggered war.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of holding the 51st Round of Human Rights Council.
The meeting touched upon Houthi terrorist militia's practices against prisoners and its negligence to all calls for releasing them and unearthing fate of disappeared people, stressing necessity of integrating efforts for instant release of all prisoners and arrested people in Houthi militia's prions.
The two parties also discussed a number of issues associated with support of the organization's activities and facilitating its tasks to boost its humanitarian role, especially in areas of bad need and require imminent response in hotlines.
Resumption of special training programs on international humanitarian law, helping the government facing waves of displacements and helping victims of Houthi militia's continuous shelling on heavy populated areas, were also discussed.
For her part, President of ICRC reviewed activities of the organization in Yemen, expressing thanks and gratitude to efforts of the government for facilitating its tasks.
