Minister of Information Muammar Al-Eryani condemned in the strongest terms the Houthi terrorist militia for kidnapping of journalist Abbad Al-Jaradi from his home in the hijacked capital, Sana’a, and forcibly hiding him five days ago, for the second time.

The militia had previously kidnapped him in 2018 for four months without charges directed. Muammar Al-Eryani said in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the terrorist Houthi militia is escalating acts of repression and abuse against the press and journalists, in an attempt to silence voices and cover up its practices and withhold facts from Yemeni and international public opinion, and continues to kidnap and forcibly disappear nine journalists, including four the militia sentenced to death.

Al-Eryani called on the international community, the United Nations, UN and US envoys, human rights organizations and the protection of journalists to condemn the crime of kidnapping and all crimes and violations committed by the Houthi terrorist militia against journalists, and to put pressure on the militia leaders to release them immediately and unconditionally.
