The annual meetings of 2022 between the Yemeni government and International Monetary Fund (IMF) concluded today, Wednesday, in the Jordanian capital Amman.
The Minister of Finance Salim bin Bureik led the discussions with the IMF's team headed by Pert Reynar.
Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen (CBY) Ahmed Ghalib along with the CBY's team contributed to the deliberations.
The sessions devoted to discuss the situation of the Yemeni economy, challenges faced by and assess the overall economic, social and political situations with the aim of identifying problems and explore solutions.
The deliberations covered several topics including economic developments, Public Finance performance over the recent period, capacity-building, monetary policy, electricity and energy sector and the UN-brokered truce and its impacts upon humanitarian and economic features.
