The conversations touched upon the latest developments in Yemen including the economic hardships and humanitarian crisis created by Iran-allied Houthi militias' coup.
Assanaini expressed the Yemeni government's gratitude to the Japanese government for its support for Yemen, citing Japan's recent two grants one worth $3.3 million to improve Aden harbor and another totaling $10 million through WFP to mitigate the food crisis.
Mr.Nagaoka reiterated Japan's support for the UN-led efforts to make peace in Yemen and extend the humanitarian truce.
