Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Waed Badeeb, discussed with the French Deputy Ambassador to Yemen in the temporary capital Aden today the possibility of French support for development and relief priorities, and the strengthening of aspects of joint cooperation between the two friendly countries in various fields, including food security and economic recovery.
During the meeting, which included Deputy Minister of Planning, and Director of the French Agency for International Technical Cooperation, they discussed French interventions in support of development by adopting the implementation of a number of projects, the latest of which was the launch of a project to support the resilience of the fishing sector in Yemen in Hadramout Governorate at a cost of about one million euros, and implemented by the French Agency in coordination with the General Authority for Fisheries in the Arabian Sea, with funding from the French Ministry of European Affairs and Foreign Affairs, "Crisis Support Centre".
The meeting also dealt with the importance of focusing on the technical education and vocational training sector to help qualify young people and supply the local and regional labor market with qualified youth cadres in various disciplines.
