Cabinet approves emergency plan for food security

The Cabinet held its session today in the temporary capital Aden presided over by Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalk.

The session devoted to discuss a number of topical issues in political, economic, military and services domains.

The Council of Ministers has decided to endorse the Emergency Plan for Food Security for the Agricultural and Fishery Sector.

The proposal proposed by the Minister of Agriculture and Fishery, aimed to better utilize agricultural and fishery resources to increase grains production, improve infrastructure of agricultural and fishery institutions.

The Cabinet authorized Ministers of Planning and International Cooperation and Finance to seek for the needed resources to finance the plan.

The discussions touched upon the UN's ongoing good offices to further extend the UN-brokered truce.

The Council of Ministers reiterated its principled position about the key issues in the file of peace and truce. It stressed that it is very necessary to get Houthi militia fulfill its obligations under the truce agreement including opening the routes of Taiz and other governorates, pay salaries of public service employees from Hodeidah seaports' revenues and release all prisoners and kidnapped
