Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmilk received today, Thursday, in the temporary capital Aden the UN Resident Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen David Gressly.
They discussed a range of significant topics relating the humanitarian actions including partnership and cooperation with the government, challenges facing the humanitarian actions, namely obstacles created by Houthi militiamen, food security and underway UN-led efforts to manage Safer Oil Tanker problem.
Mr. Gressly briefed Dr. Ma'een on the progress realized in fund-raising process to secure the needed funds to unload Safer Tanker, citing the financial gab and the ongoing efforts to cover.
The Prime Minister reiterated the government's full support for the UN's plans about Safer Tanker in order to avert a looming environmental disaster.
The conversations touched upon the UN-sponsored humanitarian truce, Houthi militia's violations and its failure to fulfill its obligations under the truce agreement's articles, first and foremost lifting Taiz blockade and opening its routes.
