MASAM removes 1030 Houthis-laid landmines in a week

KSrelief Center's Demining Project in Yemen "MASAM" managed to pull out 1030 of landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO) and explosive devices in the second week of September 2022.

These landmines were planted by Iran-allied Houthi militiamen in different Yemeni governorates.

KSrelief Center reported that MASAM's deminers removed 26 anti-personnel and 123 anti-tanks landmines, 880 UXO and one explosives device.

This bring total number of Houthis-laid landmines removed by MASAM up to 357 thousands and 788 landmines since it has started its demining mission in different Yemeni regions.
