Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik stressed on the importance to fully put in place the plans designed to rehabilitate and develop oil field production to ensure better utilize the potentials of this crucial sector that is of paramount importance of the national economy.
His statement came as he presided over a meeting of the leadership of the Ministry of Oil and Minerals held today, Tuesday, in the temporary capital Aden.
The session devoted to discuss the progress realized in the implementation of the plans which devised to help developing oil and minerals sector, promote national and international investments and businesses in oil exploration and production.
The Minister of Oil and Minerals Saaid Ashamacy provided a detailed report about the Ministry's programs and projects aiming to develop oil fields productions and the measures taken to ensure oil derivatives supplies in the domestic markets.
The discussions also touched upon the underway efforts of the UN to handle Safer Oil Tanker problem and the facilitations provided by the government in this regard.
