Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ahmad Awadh BinMubarak discussed Saturday with the Head of UN Mission for supporting Hodeida Agreement, the Head of Redeployment Committee in Hodeida Michle Perry and his Deputy Vivian van de Perre situations of the mission.

During the meeting, Foreign Minister reviewed tasks of the mission in accordance with its term defined by Security Council's resolutions must be focused on and represented in redeploying military forces out of Hodeida City, enabling local security forces included in government 2014 lists to perform their duties, evacuating ports from the militia and removing landmines planted by Houthi militia in Hodeida City.

BinMubarak also discussed with the UN official fully implementation of Stockholm Agreement, including depositing all revenues of Hodeida Port to the branch of the Central Bank of Yemen in Hodeida for paying salaries of employees in the areas under Houthi militia's control.

The two parties also discussed possibility of reincluding the government team in redeployment committee in case they reached acceptable solution to reasons behind suspension of the team's participation of killing Colonel Mohammad al-Sulaihi, the government officer in the government team by Houthi militia while performing his duty in a UN checkpoint in Hodeida City.

For his part, General Perry confirmed understanding of points made by the government party regarding tasks of the UN mission in Hodeida and expressed readiness to cooperate with the government to realize strategic objectives of forming the mission in Hodeida.
