Today, in the temporary capital of Aden, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Waed Badeeb, discussed with the Deputy Executive Director of UNICEF, Hanan Suleiman, a matrix of needs and priorities in the areas of water, childhood, health and social affairs.
The meeting – held with the participation of the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning for the International Cooperation Sector, Mansour Zeid, the Regional Director of UNICEF in the Middle East and North Africa, the Resident Representative of UNICEF in Yemen and the Director General of the Department of International and Regional Organizations in the Ministry of Planning - touched on the organization's plans and the level of evaluation, its interventions and the necessary treatments for the challenges it faces, and the results of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey.
Badeeb stressed that UNICEF is a key partner for the government in facing the challenges of a number of vital sectors, especially childhood, and this was embodied through the implementation of many projects that would contribute to alleviating the suffering of the targeted community segments in a number of regions and directorates of the governorates of the Republic.
