Today, the Minister of Industry and Trade, Muhammad Al-Ashwal, discussed with the Director of the World Food Program office in Aden, the level of implementation of the program's interventions, especially the distribution of aid and the promotion of food security.
Minister Al-Ashwal touched on the magnitude of the multiple humanitarian challenges facing Yemen as a result of the global food crisis, praising the efforts of the World Food Program in providing humanitarian aid and relief.
Al-Ashwal stressed the importance of quality and improving the storage mechanism so as not to spoil the materials and force the ministry to destroy them.
He indicated that the Supreme Council for Food Security and the Food Program will be an observer member. He also expressed the ministry’s readiness to provide all support and facilities to contribute to the success of the program’s activities in support of government efforts to secure food chains.
