Today, the Governor of Al-Mahra, Muhammad Ali Yasser, inspected the progress of the construction work in the implementation of the King Salman Medical and Educational City project in Al-Ghaydah City, funded by the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen.
The governor, along with the Secretary-General of the Local Council, Salem Nimer, heard from the director of the Saudi program office in the governorate, Eng. Abdullah Basulaiman, an explanation on the progress of the ongoing work in implementing the project, the percentage of completion and the nature of the remaining works to complete the project.
The governor also listened, from the specialists, to a briefing about the components of the project, which is located on an area of one million square meters and contains medical and educational projects. In its first phase, it includes the construction of a hospital with a bed capacity of 100 beds, major operating rooms, heart operations, intensive care, and nursery rooms, a radiology department, a helipad for medical evacuations, a mosque, administrative offices, and various clinic rooms in the specialties of internal medicine, dentistry, children and others.
Governor Bin Yasir pointed out the importance of the project in improving the level of medical services in the governorate, praising the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's support.
