Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muamar al-Eryani discussed Wednesday with Charge D'Affairs of Japanese Embassy in Yemen Kazohiro Higashe mutual relations between the two countries and means of promoting them.
Al-Eryani praised Japan's firm positions supporting the internationally- recognized government and Japan's humanitarian support to Yemeni people, hoping for greater role by Japan in the future and making use of Japanese experiment in development and reconstruction.
He touched upon latest developments in Yemen and Houthi militia's daily violations to the UN Truce and its stubbornness of ending its siege on Taiz City.
He confirmed keenness of the political leadership under the Presidency of Rashad al-Alimi on realizing inclusive and just peace in accordance with the three agreed upon references; the Gulf Initiative, the Outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and Security Resolution 22.
For his part, the Japanese diplomat expressed his country's desire of improving mutual relations between the two countries and its welcome to the newly appointed ambassador of Yemen to Japan.
He confirmed that his country supports Yemen's legitimacy and praises formation of the Presidential Leadership Council, pointing out that Japan also supports Yemen's efforts of realizing peace and supports Yemen's unity, security and stability.
