Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muamar al-Eryani discussed Monday with the Chairman of Arab Organization for Tourism Bandar bin Fahd Al Fuhaid issues of common concern in tourist field and means of promoting and improving them.
The meeting, which was held at the Premises of the Organization here in Jeddah and attended by members of the organization's general secretariate, discussed cooperation aspects between the ministry and the organization in different tourist fields, especially those regarding sustainability of tourism as key economic resource.
Al-Eryani expressed thanks to the organization for its role of translating decisions of Arab Tourist Ministerial Council into policies and plans to promote tourism industry in Arab countries.
He confirmed the role could be played by the organization in helping rehabilitating and training Yemeni tourist cadre for creating work opportunities to youth through improving their skills and abilities in different tourist fields.
For his part, the head of the organization welcomed Minister al-Eryani in the organization's premises, uttering readiness of the ministry to cooperate with his ministry.
He pointed out that the organization has proposal and strategic mechanism to work through it for improving tourist establishments in Yemen, in addition to attract investors to implement tourist projects in Yemen through making use from treaties signed between Yemen and the organization.
