The World Bank has agreed to provide an additional funding of $150 million in grants for the second phase of the emergency human capital project in Yemen, as additional support for the activities of the original project, in the amount of $150 million, which started in 2021.
The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Waed Badheib, said in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), "The approval of the World Bank to provide additional financing for the project in the amount of 150 million dollars, comes within the tireless efforts of the Ministry of Planning in mobilizing resources and coordinating with international donors.
" He said that the project will support access to vital services for health care, nutrition, water supply and sanitation for citizens of the most needy groups, stressing the continuation of the ministry's efforts with the World Bank to continue investing in human capital in Yemen and protect the future of future generations.
