Taiz protesters: The UN-brokered truce's become a cover-up for Houthi massacring of civilians
[26/07/2022 03:42]
Taiz-Saba
Thousands of people joined demonstrations in Yemen's Taiz on Tuesday to demand an end to the Houthi siege on the city and a completion of the liberation mission and condemn the United Nations' collusion with the Iran-backed militia as they massacre trapped civilians.

In a statement, the protesters confirmed that the truce agreement has become a cover-up on the Houthi violations and daily bombardments that kill civilians mainly women and children in the city's neighborhoods.

The protesters said called for a reversal of the deadly truce that afforded an opportunity to the militia to kill and wreak havoc under an impunity afforded by the international community which is apparently out of touch with reality and not showing responsibility towards the Houthi outright rejection of the truce.

The protesters called on the UN Special Envoy to Yemen to assume his responsibility in pursuing the implementation of the Security Council's resolutions mainly resolution 2216, and pressuring the Houthis to stop military mobilizations, open roads to Taiz and other besieged cities, and use the Hodeidah port revenues to pay the salaries of public servicemen as per the previous agreements instead of harnessing those funds to carry on with the militia's war to keep killing the Yemeni people.
