Cairo – Saba
The Republic of Yemen participated in the meeting of the extraordinary session of the Arab League's Economic and Social Council at the ministerial level in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, with a delegation headed by the Minister of Industry and Trade, Muhammad Al-Ashwal.
The three-day session dealt with the preparation and processing of the economic and social file that will be presented to the Arab summit to be held in Algeria next November.
The file to be submitted to the summit includes strategic topics that support development plans in the Arab region within the framework of the joint Arab action process.
The delegation of Yemen presented two draft resolutions, one of which included supporting the Republic of Yemen to face health and humanitarian challenges, while the other project, which concerns reconstruction and development, was postponed to the council's next meeting.
