Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Abdulrahman al-Mahrami received Sunday US Ambassador to Yemen Stephen Fagen, discussing with him promoting coordination in field of regional security, fight against terrorism and banning weapons to terrorists.

Al-Mahrami discussed with US ambassador efforts of the government and the Presidential Leadership Council for supporting UN envoy's efforts to make the UN truce successful, pointing out that the legitimacy agreed on opening Sana'a Airport and opening Hodeida Port to oil ships to make use of the revenues for paying salaries of government's employees but Houthi militia took the funds for its war against Yemeni people.

He pointed out that the Presidential Leadership Council and the government are ready to stope the war and for just and inclusive peace if Houthi militia responds to the language of dialogue and negations other than killing and destruction.

For his part, the US diplomat confirmed significance of improving relations between the two countries and continuous coordination for reaching a just and permanent peace in Yemen and confirmed that the United States is prime partner with the Presidential Council and the government of Yemen in fighting all forms of terrorism and extremism.
