Othman Mujalli: We've not got a real partner for peace

Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Othman Mujalli met today with Acting-American Ambassador to Yemen Kathrin Westly.
The session intended to discuss Yemeni-American bilateral ties and the US administration's support for the PLC.
Mujalli cited the PLC's efforts aiming to get the military and security united as a prerequisite step to fight terrorism, achieve economic stability and defeat Houthi coup.
He called on the international community to deliver on the pledges they made in order to support the PLC, the Yemeni people and bail out the national economy.
He indicated that the state's current revenues are less than 10% of the incomes it used to gain prior Houthi militia's coup in 2014.
The Deputy Chairman of the PLC stated that the Yemeni people and its legitimate government have been facing al-Qaeda, ISIS and Houthi militia's war.
He said" We're not warmongers, we're lacking a genuine partner for peace, we offered several proposals for peace, went to consolations but the Houthis worked to foil all consultations, refused to implement the UNSC' resolutions".
Mujalli appreciated the US administration's efforts to fight terrorism, al-Qaeda's and ISIS terrorists operatives, noting that
Houthi militias have committed massacres against the Yemeni people more than the ones committed by all terrorist groups.
He described Houthi militia as the key enemy of the Yemeni people and the region.
The US diplomat stated that her country is keen to keep on collaboration with Yemen in fighting terrorism.
