Prime Minister receives UNOPS's delegation

Prime Minister Ma'een Abdulmalik received Wednesday here the delegation of the United Nations Office for Projects Services.

The meeting discussed activities of the office, which represents the executive hand of the United Nations and is entrusted with supporting infrastructure and managing efforts, and its plans and activities in Yemen in the forthcoming period, as well as coordination domains between the office and the government to define priorities.

Prime Minister was briefed by the Head of the Delegation, the Director of the Main Office in Jordan Mohammed Othman on the projects the office is implementing in Yemen and are financed by the World Bank Group and German Bank in fields of roads, health, electricity, water and sanitation and others.

Prime Minister confirmed significance of coordination with government bodies to define priorities of interventions for implementing infrastructure projects and doing maintenance work to hospitals and health centers, which were damaged over Houthi militia's triggered war.
