Al-Bahsani discusses with UN Envoy's office director results of truce

Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council Faraj al-Bahsani discussed Sunday with Office Director of the UN Envoy for Yemen Peter Rice latest political, security, economic and service conditions.

The two parties discussed results of the UN truce and commitment of the government to the truce through facilitations provided by the Presidential Council and the government to ships loaded with fuel to people in Houthi militia's areas amid the militia stubbornness and rejection to open outlets and roads in Taiz and other provinces.

Talking about the council's keenness on alleviating suffering of Yemeni people and ending the country's crisis, al-Bahsani highlighted importance of the truce and necessity of extending it to help realize stability and inclusive and just peace.

He touched upon economic file and suffering of Yemeni people over Houthi militia's triggered war, confirming importance of the UN interventions to make solutions to these issues.

For his part, the UN official praised efforts exerted by the Presidential Leadership Council to make the UN truce successful, showing readiness to cooperate with the council to alleviate effects of the war on Yemeni people and realize security and stability.
