VP al-Eradah says PLC makes realizing comprehensive peace a priority

Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Sultan al-Eradah stated that the President and members of the PLC are seeking to achieve a comprehensive peace as a top priority to ensure stability for the country and bright future of the Yemeni people.
He voiced his comment as he met today with the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary General to Yemen Hans Grundgerg.
They discussed the developments in the Yemeni national arena and the UN-led efforts to establish peace and maintain the UN-brokered humanitarian truce which has been breached by Iran-allied Houthi militias on a daily basis.
Al-Eradah noted that Houthi militia as usual it fails to fulfill its obligations under the truce agreement, going on its violations of the truce, insists on keeping Taiz blockade, rejecting to open passageway, blocking the efforts to release prisoners, refusing all suggestions by the government to alleviate the Yemeni peoples' suffering.
He confirmed full support of the Yemeni government and Arab Coalition in support of legality in Yemen to the UN-led efforts by Mr. Grundberg to establish fair and sustainable peace in Yemen.
Mr. Grundberg stated that his ongoing tours, efforts and consultations with all parties aim to find out a common ground to achieve the fair and sustainable peace that the Yemeni people deserve.
