A Yemeni commission reporting on human rights abuses in the country’s civil war started investigating the Houthi militia's drone strikes that killed and injured several people in Taiz yesterday.

The National Commission of Inquiry surveyed today, Thursday, the impact of the Houthi attacks on the block that comprises the local Faculty of Arts campus, Garden City amusement park, Taiz Security Department and Al-Ahly Sports Club yesterday, which marked the third day of Eid Al-Fitr Holiday.

The commission members gathered testimonies from the people and projectile remnants and evidences left by the attack that took the people in the crowded places by surprise and injured more than ten people including holidaymakers in the park.

The commission members visited the wounded in the hospitals and interviewed healthcare workers.

The Houthi drone attack on civilian facilities in the besieged city is the latest in a series of breaches of a UN brokered two month truce now in its 36th day.
