Rights organization condemns Houthi bombing of children's amusement park in Taiz
[04/05/2022 03:04]

Taiz - Saba
The Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC) has denounced the Houthi bombing a crowded neighborhood near a children's amusement park in the heart of Taiz city this morning.

The HRITC said in a statement today that the Houthi militia's bombing via drones, targeted Al-Qiyadah Street near Al-Amal Hospital for Cancer Patients and Al-Wahda Park (alias known as Garden City) in the heart of Taiz, next to a police building and Al-Ahly Sports Club.

HRITC's observers confirmed that the Houthi group's drone had flown since the morning of the first day of Eid al-Fitr last Monday, and continued to fly today, Wednesday May 4, and launched at 9:30 this morning four missiles toward the park that represents the only entertainment resort in the besieged city.

The city of Taiz has been besieged by the Houthi militia for eight years, and the planes launched their four missiles in the overcrowded area, causing material damage. The HRITC stated that choosing the place and time was intended to cause the greatest harm to the defenseless population, as it targeted an area between the city center park, Al-Ahly Club and the Children's Hospital for Cancer Patients, and was an attack timed within the days of the Eid Al-Fitr holiday causing thousands of children and their families at the park to run in panic to escape, leaving damages and injuries and horror in the minds of civilians.
