Al-Eryani: Houthi militia relinquish oil commitments for paying salaries
[30/04/2022 09:39]
ADEN-SABA
Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Mua'mar al-Eryani has said that Houthi terrorist militia relinquished its commitments to direct revenues of oil derivatives coming through Hodeida Port to cover salaries of government employees in their areas.

In a statement to Saba on Saturday, al-Eryani made it clear that the militia has not committed to direct the revenues of oil derivatives despite government's commitment of giving licenses to two ships weekly to Hodeida Port in implementation to articles of the UN Truce.

He stressed that the militia will collect YR 90 billion as custom revenues and fees from those shipments (18 ships) coming during the two-month truce, which are enough for paying salaries of three months to all government employees in their held-areas.

Al-Eryani demanded the UN envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg to clarify the destination of the oil revenues coming through Hodeida Port since the truce entered into effect and make mechanism for paying them as salaries to state employees in implementation to the truce to ensure not to be directed for war purposes.
