President of the Presidential Leadership Council Rashad al-Alimi has directed the government to provide all facilitations to the private sector as partner in development process.
In his meeting with the President of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Abu Bakr Ba Ubaid and members of the chamber on Monday, President al-Alimi confirmed that the state will provide its full support to the private sector to enable it perform its role and tasks in contribution of realizing economic stability and food security and providing people's needs of basic goods in reasonable prices.
President also directed the government to provide necessary funds to the private sector within the government's plan and regulations to make the local currency stable and keep the prices down to alleviate suffering of Yemeni people.
He confirmed keenness of the Presidential Council on protecting the national capital and protecting it against migration, especially importers of basic goods.
He urged the commercial sector to consider the difficult living conditions of the people over Houthi militia's triggered war, calling merchants to avoid monopoly and reduce burdens on consumer.
He stressed that the government financial support to merchants must be reflected on keeping prices of the national currency stable to keep good prices down, calling the government to control markets.
