Yemeni-Yemeni talks concluded

RIYADH - SABA
The Yemeni-Yemeni talks concluded this evening, Thursday at the HQ of the GCC's General Secretariat in Riyadh.

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Rashad al-Alimin, members of the council, Speakers of Parliament and Shura council Sultan al-Barakani and Ahmed Obeid bin Dagher and Prime Minister Ma'een Abdulmalik and other senior official and social dignitaries attended the conclusion session.

The deliberations held during the time from March 29 to Apirl7 under the auspices of the GCC.

The GCC's Secretary General Dr. Nayef al-Hajraf praised the Yemenis' active participation, describing the talks as constructive and productive.

He said " The Yemenis engaged responsibly in the talks at this significant moment of Yemen history, they managed to discussed openly and transparently all ideas and views, explored solution, with a wide by approximately one thousand Yemeni men and women".

A final statement issued expressively voiced full support for the Presidential Leadership Council and its subordinate entities to exercise its mandates and doing its job effectively to re-establish security and stability in Yemen; urging the Presidential Leadership Council to initiate negotiation with the Houthis under the supervision of the UN.

The statement also called on the Parliament and Shura Council to convene their sessions regularly, in persons or virtually in order to do their constitutional jobs.
