France and Russia have welcomed President Hadi's declaration of establishing a presidential council to finalize tasks of the transitional and giving the council all presidential powers in accordance with the Constitution of Yemen and the Gulf Cooperation Council's initiative.

The Spokesperson of French Foreign Ministry Anne-Claire Legendre has said President Hadi's declaration of transferring all his powers to a new Presidential Council's leadership is considered a significant step for regaining the state, which serves all Yemeni people.

Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Ministry expressed hope that the new presidential council will do its best to realize peace in this country, which has historical relations with Moscow.
