Inauguration of water and education projects for IDPs at a cost of $1 million

Deputy Governor of Marib, Dr. Abd-Rabbu Miftah, and the resident representative of the UNICEF in Yemen inaugurated two water and education projects in the districts of Al-Madina and Al-Wadi, whose implementation is funded by the UNICEF at a total cost of more than $1,185,000 as part of its humanitarian interventions to alleviate the suffering of the displaced.

They inaugurated the water pumping in the the transport line project for pure water of honorable water from the water fields of Faw and Rumaila to the main distribution tanks in the capital of the governorate, with a length of 8 km and a diameter of 12 inches , at a cost of 685,000 dollars, financed from UNICEF.

The project will benefit 350,000 people, and is capable of expanding in the neighborhoods and camps of the city of Ma'rib, which have a population of more than one million and two hundred thousand citizens, 90 percent of whom are displaced.
