Yemen Says Houthi Militia Poses Direct Threat to Regional Peace, Condemns Attacks on Gulf Infrastructure
Yemen has affirmed that the Iran-backed Houthi militia poses a direct threat to regional peace and security and to international navigation, saying the group is a tool used to undermine Yemen’s sovereignty and stability, disrupt basic services, and obstruct the delivery of humanitarian assistance to those in need.

GCC calls upon Coalition, Yemeni parties to stop military operations

The Secretary General of Gulf Cooperation Council or (GCC) Nayef al-Hajraf called upon Tuesday the command of the Arab Coalition and Yemeni parties to stop military operations inside Yemen.

"This step comes in embarking on keenness of leaders and peoples of GCC countries to realize peace and stability in Yemen and in confirmation to great concern of Yemen and its people by the gulf organization," said al-Hajraf in a statement published by Saudi News Agency (WAS).

He added that this step coincides with commencing activities of Yemeni-Yemeni consultations under the auspices of GCC today Tuesday the 29th of March until the Seventh of April 2022 and on occasion of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, which represents positive environment for the work of alleviating suffering of Yemeni people.

" We renew call to Ansurallah (Houthis) to attend and participate in these consultations with their Yemeni brothers to make the interest of Yemen above all other interests and ending suffering of brother Yemeni people," al-Hajraf concluded his call.
