Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ahmad Awadh BinMubarak discussed Monday with Foreign Minister of Sweden Ann Linde different issues associated with Yemen and regional and international situations.
He confirmed significance of holding the Yemeni-Swedish talks under the umbrella of Gulf Cooperation Council to discuss means of solving Yemen's crisis, pointing out that the government of Yemen welcomes all efforts and initiatives in accordance with the three references; GCC Initiative, the Outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and Security Resolution 2216.
He pointed out to Houthi militia's rejection to peace calls, continuing its aggressive approach of military escalation in different provinces in Yemen and outside Yemen.
He confirmed significance of making rapprochements to face the humanitarian catastrophe in Yemen resulting in Houthi militia's coup against the state, making it clear that the shortage of financing the humanitarian response plan requires enhancing the role of the Central Bank of Yemen.
He touched upon Houthi militia's breach of Stockholm agreement and failure of enabling the UN mission to perform its responsibilities, pointing out to significance of concentrating on Safir Oil Tanker Issue.
For her part, the Swedish minister confirmed her country's continuous support to the government of Yemen for realizing peace and stability in Yemen.
