Minister of Information Muammar Al-Eryani, condemned the terrorist Houthi militia's escalations and campaigns to extort and undermine the remaining private sector, businessmen in the areas under the militia's control.

He said today that the militia had closed a number of companies and factories, in an attempt to force their owners to pay more illegal levies, without considering the deteriorating economic and humanitarian conditions effect on citizens.

Al-Eryani indicated that the terrorist Houthi militia had, as part of the systematic campaigns, closed 12 commercial companies for the production and import of foodstuffs, including Natco, a subsidiary of Hayel Saeed Anam and Partners Group, and Al-Makhlafi Company for Import and Refrigeration, Shamlan mineral water production plant, suspending production lines and expelling workers in them.

He stressed that this escalation comes within the framework of the Houthi militia's plan to under major business houses and drain the national capital and push it to leave the country and replace merchants with the militia's members.
