Yemen Says Houthi Militia Poses Direct Threat to Regional Peace, Condemns Attacks on Gulf Infrastructure
Yemen has affirmed that the Iran-backed Houthi militia poses a direct threat to regional peace and security and to international navigation, saying the group is a tool used to undermine Yemen’s sovereignty and stability, disrupt basic services, and obstruct the delivery of humanitarian assistance to those in need.

Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muamar al-Eryani has praised efforts of the European Union for supporting efforts exerted for realizing peace and ending suffering of Yemeni people.
In his meeting with Ambassador of the European Union to Yemen Gabriel Vinals on Friday, Minister al-Eryani pointed out that the government of Yemen deals positively with all international efforts and initiatives and efforts of UN Envoy to Yemen Hans Grundberg, making it clear that the government participated in all consultations sponsored by the United Nations and made many concessions for the sake of ending suffering of Yemeni people and realizing peace.
" Houthi militia has not provided any position proving its seriousness in dialogue and efforts for peace," said al-Eryani, adding that the militia always rejects peace efforts whether those made by Gulf countries or international initiatives.
He expressed government's efforts to Gulf Cooperation Council for its efforts to support Yemen and its recent call for all Yemeni parties for consultations in Riyadh.
For his part, the European ambassador confirmed that the countries of the union will continue their support to Yemen's government and support to all UN and international efforts to realize peace in Yemen.
